Six people were shot — one fatally — in five separate incidents across New York City on Monday and Tuesday, police said.
Most recently, a 30-year-old man was struck once in the right leg on Palmetto Street near Seneca Avenue in Ridgewood, Queens, around 2:10 a.m.
He was taken to NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull with non-life-threatening injuries, and was highly uncooperative when questioned by police, authorities said.
Hours earlier, Dante Young, 21, was fatally blasted in the torso inside a home on Vyse Avenue near East 172nd Street in the Charlotte Gardens section of the Bronx.
He was pronounced dead on scene by EMS, according to police.
No additional information was available on the slaying Tuesday morning.
Young lived in another section of the Bronx, nearly two miles from the scene.
On Monday alone, the city saw four shootings involving five victims, according to preliminary numbers released by police.
On that day in 2019 — which fell on a Saturday — there were also four shootings, but 10 victims were involved, police said.
