MASTERCHEF 2020 contestant Beverley Joiner has become a judges' favourite during her time on the show.
As the semi-final beckons, let's take a closer look at Beverley and her cooking credentials.
Who is Beverley Joiner?
Beverley is the oldest of the MasterChef contestants at 61.
Hailing from Bromley, Kent, Beverley is a hospice volunteer at St Christopher's, she is also a local cook and cookery show addict.
Residents of Bromley have already enjoyed Beverley's culinary skills as she has been fundraising for local charity St Christopher's for over 10 years, selling cakes, chutneys and jars of piccalilli, one of which even sold for £1,000 at auction.
She nearly didn't make it on to the show after suffering of a stroke shortly after being invited to audition, and bring along some sample dishes.
Luckily things worked out for Beverley and now she has a chance to win the show she's always dreamed of appearing on.
She said: "I’m an obsessive cookery show fan, especially MasterChef Australia, I just hoped that my foodie hobby would pay off on MasterChef!”
Why is Beverley on MasterChef?
Beverley has always wanted the opportunity to appear on MasterChef, and showcase her talents and deep passion for cooking.
In an interview Beverley said:“I always wanted to have a chance to cook on MasterChef, as I was sure that I could do well, but I’m really competitive and the thought of going out in the heats terrified me!”
Since landing her dream role on the show, Beverley has been driving her family up the wall by daily rehearsing her signature dish- a fillet of lamb with dauphinoise potatoes, over and over as she makes her bid to win the show.
Throughout her career of over 10 years at St Christopher's, Beverley has used her cooking skills to raise money for hospice care, after seeing first-hand the difference it makes for its occupants.
Most of Bromley already know about her cooking ability, and now the rest of the country do as she goes from strength to strength on the show.

Beverley share pictures of her dishes on the site.
