This Morning was back discussing the latest news about the coronavirus pandemic. Joining presenters Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby for the This Morning View segment was journalist Matthew Wright and broadcaster Andrew Castle, but as the two video-called into the show, a series of technological blunders occurred.
Up for discussion was whether police needed to take more stringent measures to tackle the sheer volume of people still gathering in more than groups of two and not adhering to the two-metre social distancing rule.
Andrew said: “As far as I understand if they are in the same family – and there are families that big – then is that ok or is it not ok? And there is other evidence as well which I’m slightly confused about, if I’m walking with my family -“
But he was cut off as Phillip interjected: “Andrew, Andrew! You’ve turned your camera around!”
And those watching at home saw Andrew’s kitchen come into view as Holly and Phillip sat smirking at the mishap.

“Oh I have, sorry about that, I’ve got my love assistant Georgina!” Andrew explained as his daughter came running into view to sort the issue out.
“Thank God someone wasn’t seen naked on the other side of the table! Hi Georgina lovely to see you,” Phillip joked lighting the mood.
“I apologise,” Andrew remarked.
Attempting to regain control of the conversation, Phillip continued: “Serious topic Andrew! If you could possibly switch that around, it’s a lovely kitchen by the way!”
“Is Georgina your daughter? Look, what the hell have you done now?” the presenter continued.
“She’s one of them, the other one is elsewhere in the house with her new husband,” Andrew explained.
“Fair enough…what’s going on now?” Holly remarked as his camera froze.
“You’ve gone blurred now, you’ve gone behind some bathroom window. I don’t know what’s going on with that one – you’re providing a lot of fun for us!” Phillip added.

“It’s a very serious subject, but I tell you what, this is like a comedy show.”
Once the debate concluded, Andrew apologised but Phillip was adamant the whole debacle was funny.
“It was very informative and entertaining!” The presenter remarked.
Luckily everyone saw the funny side of it and took to Twitter to comment.
