Strictly: Tess Daly misnames Nigel by calling him Colin
Tess Daly referred to Nigel Harman as “Colin” on Saturday night’s Strictly Come Dancing – and it didn’t go unnoticed by fans.
As Nigel Harman and his professional partner Katya Jones were leaving the dancefloor after receiving the judge’s comments for their Pasa Doble she clearly called him “Colin” before quickly correcting herself and saying “Nigel”.
However, fans were quick to pick up on it with many taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to air their confusion.
A user called @adawggy96 asked: “Why is Tess Daly referring to Nigel Harman as Colin?? #StrictlyComeDancing.” (sic)
@vickster51 was equally baffled asking: “Why is Tess calling Nigel Colin??? #Strictly.”
@curiouscroquet was also bemused commenting: “But why did Claudia keep saying ‘Colin’? When talking to Nigel?” (sic)

A viewer with the handle @ReissGeorge20 found it amusing writing: “I love that Tess called Nigel Colin TWICE! #strictly” (sic)
Another fan called @catherine_mayer also saw the humour in the situation opining: “I think Nigel Harman said he had no dance training. But what about his alter ego Colin? #strictly.”
Although, it has since emerged that Colin is Nigel’s alter-ego.
However, many were too distracted by his steamy performance to Smells Like Teen Spirit, which was originally a hit for Nirvana, to care about what Tess called him.

The judges were equally as enamored of the Casualty actor with Anton du Beke telling him: “With that power, that intensity you stole the night.”
The former EastEnders actor topped tonight’s leaderboard with a score of 32 points earning an eight from each judge.
He and Katya were stunned by the judge’s comments and scores but looked delighted when realising they had topped the leaderboard nudging out Layton Williams who had a score of 29.
