Strictly Come Dancing 2020 celeb dance pairings officially revealed after online leak threatened to ruin show's return

STRICTLY Come Dancing's pairings have been officially revealed after an online leak threatened to ruin the show's return.

Tonight the hit BBC dance show aired a pre-recorded episode ahead of its live launch next Saturday night.

Stars have been forced to isolate from their loved ones and face being thrown out of the series immediately if they test positive for coronavirus.

Dance partners formed an exclusive support bubble in order to break the government's social distancing rules – but it meant one half of the pair must live alone.

Here we take a look at who the celebrities have been partnered up with for the 18th series that defied the odds to return in coronavirus times.

Nicola Adams & Katya Jones

Olympic boxing champ Nicola Adams is teamed up with pro Katya Jones.

The 37-year-old Olympian – the first openly LGBT person to win a boxing Gold at the 2012 Games – will make history again this year when she takes to the dancefloor with stunning Katya, 31.

Maisie Smith & Gorka Marquez

EastEnders star Maisie, 19, says that her pairing with Gorka, 30, is a “weight off her shoulders”.

He said: “This is honestly the greatest thing in the whole world. I’ve been dreaming about this for a whole year. Karen is very disciplined, which means I’ll probably have to do what I’m told, which is a good thing!”

Karen, 38, added: “You know what I love about Jamie? He’s just so happy. He’s happy and positive and I love that – I can’t wait to start training.”

It was like a black and white dream, we weren’t even dancing, we were walking over bridges and having coffee like we were friends! It’s a bit creepy but I sort of went with it as a premonition and look what’s happened!”
