Piers Morgan swapped the Good Morning Britain news desk for the This Morning sofa as he joined Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield to talk about his new book. However, with the US election coming to a close tomorrow, the This Morning hosts were keen to find out what Piers thought of Trump’s presidency and if he could be back in the White House for another four years.
Referencing George Floyd’s death, Piers said it was one “of the most harrowing things I’ve ever watched”.
He continued: “I’ve never seen anything as horrifying.”
Phillip read out Trump’s response on Twitter, which said: “When the looting starts the shooting starts,” asking what Piers thought of it.
“Appalling, just pouring fuel on a fire,” Piers remarked.
He explained he feels this is just one of the reason why Trump will be voted out of the White House.
“Trump knew what he was doing,” Piers told the hosts.
The GMB presenter went on to add his handling of the coronavirus pandemic was just as bad.
“His handling of the pandemic was appalling,” Piers raged.
“He will lose the election,” however, he added: “I would never bet anything against Trump he’s unpredictable.”
