IN an eye-opening interview on Red Table Talk, Olivia Jade revealed that she has not spoken to her parents since they've been in prison.

Lori Laughlin and Mossimo Giannulli were both sentenced to prison after pleading guilty back in May for their part in the college scandal that shocked the country.

The 21-year-old sat-down with Jada Pinkett Smith, Adrienne Banfield-Jones, and Willow Smith on the popular Facebook Watch series for her first interview since the chaos occurred.

The 30-minute chat involved Olivia touching on many different aspects of the scandal, focusing on her feelings with everything that has gone down, especially having her famous parents now behind bars.

She said: "I actually haven't spoken to either of them. There's a quarantine phase just cause of Covid, I'm not sure. I just haven't heard anything, so I'm just waiting."

She continued: "I've never gone that long – I'm super close to my parents, especially my mom, she's like my best friend.

"It's definitely been really hard not being able to talk to her, but I know she's strong. It's a good reflection period."

Olivia added: "I'm trying to look at the positive in situations. She gets to really rethink everything that's happened."

Olivia also did not shy away from accepting what her parents did was wrong as she said: "there is no justifying or excusing what happened – what happened was wrong."

However, she also let people know that she would like to be able to "move on and move forward" from the scandal.

She said: "I think what's important is to learn from the mistakes, not to be shamed or punished.

"I'm 21, I feel I deserve a second chance to redeem myself, to show I've grown."

Olivia gave viewers a peak into what occurred after she learned that her parents were all over the news as she revealed: "I confronted them… they didn't have much to say except, 'I'm so sorry.'" 

While the ladies of the Red Table Talk listened to Olivia's side, Jada's mom Adrienne had some strong thoughts.

She said: "At the end of the day you're gonna be okay. Your parents will do their 60 days and they will pay their fine and you will be okay."

Adrienne added: "Right now it's very difficult for me to feel compassionate about you."

Back in May, Lori was sentenced to 60 days in prison while her husband Mossimo was handed five months.

The couple allegedly tried to get daughters Olivia Jade and Isabella, 22, into the University of Southern California as crew athletes, despite neither girl actually being a rower.

Prosecutors say Loughlin and Mossimo staged fake photos and even compiled fake resumes all in the hopes of getting the girls into the school.

At the time, Mossimo said: "I deeply regret the harm that my actions have caused my daughters, my wife and others. I take full responsibility for my conduct. I am ready to accept the consequences."

Under the plea deal, Mossimo, who shares Olivia and 22-year-old daughter Isabella with Lori, will also pay a $250,000 fine and perform 250 hours of community service.

On the other hand, Lori will pay a $150,000 fine and perform 100 hours of community service.
