Naga Munchetty says new BBC Radio 5 Live role is a 'dream'
Naga Munchetty swapped the red BBC Breakfast sofa for 5Live this morning as she presented her radio show for the first time. The journalist explained it was a “dream come true” to present the morning show as she thanked those who helped her broadcast her first episode. She also urged listeners to reach out and let her know what they thought of the show and detail what they wanted to hear about.
“Welcome back, good morning to you. 11.40 is the time,” Naga remarked after the latest news update.
“You know it’s been so weird, the first day here on the job and hearing my name on the 5Live ident, it’s honestly like a dream come true.
“I’m so happy this morning but what I really want to make clear to you as well, all of you listening, just because it’s my name you hear, there’s a big group of people behind.
“I have a great team, brilliant people, I’m going to reel off a few names and some of them are here today. All of them will be working here in the coming days.
