Naga, 46, was on hand to host BBC Breakfast with co-star Charlie Stayt, 58, and throughout the morning, the pair spoke with meteorologist Carol Kirkwood, 58. The trio often joke about to add some humour to the BBC news show amid all the hard-hitting headlines. However, following a report about a group of pigs on a farm in Salisbury, the host seemed to make a jibe about the forecaster and she wasn’t too impressed.
After speaking with a roving reporter on the farm and being introduced to the animals that live there, it was time for the forecast.
Lining up the handover to the weather presenter, Naga said: “And now we go to Carol. Carol, how lovely would it be for a pig to be named after oneself?”
The meteorologist was giggling away at the quip about the pig before replying: “Well, I’m not sure about that one, Naga, actually.
“As lovely as those pigs are,” she continued and it wasn’t long before she took a different take on the joke.
“I’m not sure where you’re going with that either so swiftly moving on,” the forecaster said as she shut her colleague down.
