Married At First Sight Australia is back on E4 after the season originally aired in 2019 down under. The cast of the sixth instalment has left fans coming back for more as they have provided plenty of drama. Express.co.uk has all you need to know about what happened to Michael Brunelli.

Where is Michael from MAFSA now?

MAFSA season six has been one of the most dramatic seasons yet and UK fans have been hooked.

The quirky coupling-up series continues to see a panel of romance experts pair up individuals before they have met in real life.

Michael Brunelli was a 29-year-old teacher from Melbourne when he joined the series.

He was partnered with Martha Kalifatidis, a 31-year-old makeup artist from Sydney.

The couple spent their honeymoon in Samoa and they found an instant connection, agreeing to continue their relationship once the experiment was over.

As the marriages are not legally binding, they left the show as boyfriend and girlfriend and remain so to this day.

Michael has undergone a huge transformation since he left the series, as he has cut off his long hair.

The star is now an online personal trainer and he has been keeping fans up to date with his fitness regimes.

One of his most recent posts was a photo with girlfriend Martha on Valentine’s Day, and he confessed his love for her.

In a rare moment, admitting he was not usually a “sappy” person, he called their relationship the “perfect balance of crazy and quiet”.

In February 2021, he shared a stark message with fans about trolling and online bullying after the series.

He wrote an “open letter” to an online troll and fans admired him for standing up for himself.

Michael and Martha both took part in the All-Stars reunion special which aired across January and February.

The special reunion featured some of the most notable stars from all seven seasons.

Viewers noticed how Michael had “found his voice” when he stood up to those who criticised him during the show.

Despite the backlash, he remains happy in his relationship with Martha and they may be thinking about taking the next step.

Michael posted a photo of himself playing with a small child and hinted to Martha it was a “good look” for him.

One fan joked: “I think it’s safe to say we are all waiting.” Another said: “How cute would your kids be! Imagine a little Martha.”

The couple are yet to tie the knot officially but they could not be more in love.

Fans have been catching up with the couple on MAFSA and they have enjoyed seeing their relationship progress.

He continues to have a strong fanbase, with one fan saying: “I thought I could never love anyone as much as I love Titanic-era Leonardo Dicaprio but now there is Michael on Married at First Sight Australia.”

Another said: “Martha and Michael on married at first sight Australia are so wholesome.”

The stars have recently given fans a peek inside their stunning home, which is close to Bondi Beach.

Viewers have since become obsessed with the baby pink-themed apartment and they are looking forward to more snippets from the couple’s home life.
