Dr Hilary has been ITV’s resident doctor throughout the coronavirus pandemic, appearing numerous times on Lorraine and Good Morning Britain to share the latest developments with the outbreak. Today was no different as he joined Lorraine Kelly to discuss the potential second wave and the Government’s latest rules which mean groups no larger than six can be together. However, after looking at photos from bars and pubs from the past weekend, Lorraine swore on air as she warned viewers not to “go out on the p**s”.
Lorraine and Dr Hilary watched clips from the streets of London from the past weekend which showed pub and restaurant-goers dancing on the street.
With almost no social distancing taking place in the clips, the ITV pair watched in anguish, with Lorraine admitting it makes her “despair”.
Shortly after, she issued a warning of her own, telling viewers to be sensible, to adhere to the rules and not to “go out on the p**s”.
It didn’t take long for Lorraine viewers to voice their shock at hearing the ITV host swear live on air.
“Love that @lorraine just swore on TV and didn’t even apologize!!!! #rebel #lorraine #myshowandilldowhatilike,” voiced one fan on Twitter.
A second weighed in: “@lorraine did you really just say that?!?!??!”
“Did @lorraine just say ‘Don’t got out on the p***’ ? Got the point across though for sure. #SocialDistancing,” tweeted a third.
While a fourth added: “#Lorraine Lorraine said, ‘don’t go out on the p**s’ well said Lorraine ….”
