Leigh-Anne Pinnock pranks Little Mix bandmate Perrie with fake engagement ring on FaceTime – The Sun

LITTLE Mix's Leigh-Anne Pinnock has played a hilarious prank on her bandmate Perrie Edwards and pretended she got engaged.

Leigh-Anne, 28, and Perrie, 27 teamed up on Facetime to co-host Jimmy Hill's Capital Radio show on Saturday night.

As they chatted about how they were each doing in lockdown, Perrie asked about a life update from her two co-hosts.

She asked: "So, is there any exciting news? Do you have any secret projects or gossip you would like to share?"

Grinning widely, Leigh-Anne replied: "Well it's funny you mention that…'

The stunning singer then quickly flashed her left hand up and the camera caught a ring on her engagement finger.

She continued: "I was going to tell you guys in person, but I couldn't wait."

Perrie started squealing in excitement, but Leigh-Anne quickly jumped in to say: "Joking!"

The blonde singer told her bandmate off: "You can't do that Leigh-Anne! I nearly died."

Little Mix fans jumped on Twitter to joke about Leigh-Anne's hilarious prank.

One Twitter user wrote: "I almost had a heart attack."

While another said: "Gosh she can't do this to me!"

The brunette's prank was completely believable because she has been with footballer Andre Gray, 28, for four years.

The girls also told Jimmy that fans could expect a big collaboration for their next album and but have been sworn to secrecy.

Leigh-Anne recently revealed she used to feel "invisible and overlooked" in the group because of her race.

She shared her feelings during a discussion on Rene Eddo-Lodge’s critically acclaimed book Why I’m No Longer Talking To White People About Race on Richard and Judy's Keep Reading and Carry On.

"The book inspired me because in the past where I have felt invisible, overlooked, especially being the darkest member of the band that I’m in, Little Mix," Leigh-Anne explained.

"I think I was going through some things and I was struggling a little bit and not really understanding why I felt the way I did.

"Then I read this book and it really, really helped me".

The Sun recently revealed Leigh-Anne will front a one-off show exploring race for BBC Three.

Little Mix also recently celebrated a massive payday of £11.2mil from their sell-out tours.

The four-piece, made up of Jesy Nelson, Jade Thirlwall, Leigh-Anne and Perrie, kicked off their last tour LM5 in September 2019 in Spain with a finale in London two months later.

It was their sixth world tour since they won The X Factor in 2011 before catapulting to worldwide fame.

The latest accounts for their Eternal Magic Touring Limited firm filed to Companies House last month show they shared £4.6million last year and a further £2.7million was paid in tax over two years.
