Im A Celebrity fans fume get on with it as they complain about show format

I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! viewers were not impressed as ITV lifted the opening curtain on Sunday (19 November).

Many fans of the iconic ITV programme all had the same thing to say about the annoying format which for many was the fact they had put on way too many adverts for the opening evening of the series – something they hoped would be dropped in the coming evenings.

Taking to the platform X – which was formerly Twitter – many internet goers groaned that they were missing out on the good I'm A Celeb stuff due to the constant ad breaks taking place, with what seemed like "every ten seconds" to some users.

One person kicked off the fast stacking complaints adding: "Get on with it, how many ad breaks in one episode??? #ImACeleb", another soon chimed in with: "Another Ad break. Get me out of here! #ImACeleb!" while third barked: "#ImACeleb I forgot about ad breaks every 10 seconds!"

Further into the programme, the rants seemed to ramp up with one account writing: "25 minutes until the first ad break 6 minutes until the next @ITV quit playing around, I wanna see celebrities scream on a pole #ImACeleb!"

Meanwhile, away from the grumbles on social media, things really started to hot-up as the 2023 series got underway which saw celebrities that included This Morning's Josie Gibson, GB News star Nigel Farage and YouTuber Nella Rose first face their fears as they came face-to-face with critters and snakes.

The second group to enter and take on the skyscraper challenge was Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson, Masterchef food critic Grace Dent, First Dates host Fred Sirieix and Eastenders starlet Danielle Harold.

In attempt to bag valuable yellow stars for camp (food) they had to chuck themselves off of the metal building that was way up high in the clouds with the wind swirling furiously around them – they all managed to successfully complete the mission.

After all the campers had entered and faced a challenge, including Britney Spears' younger sister Jamie, it was time to become acquainted with one another. Josie spend some time with Jamie, explaining to the American singer and actress who everyone was in the camp.

It her in a sticky situation with First Dates host Fred Sirieix – calling the restaurant owner over for a chat about his job she asked: "Can you find me a hot man Fred," to which he replied "are you single?". Fred began to shout out among the camp "is anyone single?" but not one of his co-stars responded, leaving Josie bashful as she chirped back, "alright Fred, I'm not desperate."
