Jimmy Fallon has had a dynamite career — and he’s not slowing down anytime soon! The Brooklyn native started out as a 23-year-old on Saturday Night Live, thanks to his skills at doing impressions, according to USA Today. Fallon was warned that Lorne Michaels never laughs in auditions, so he went in expecting to get no reaction from the SNL creator and producer. But as it turns out, Fallon had the opposite experience.
“I did an impression of Adam Sandler,” he told USA Today in May 2018. “At the time he had just left the show, and no one had done an impression of Adam. And I made Lorne laugh — he put his head in his hands, and he laughed, and I thought, ‘Wow!'”
Fallon stayed on SNL for seven seasons and found out that Conan O’Brien was leaving his late-night show, as USA Today reported. When NBC got skeptical about offering O’Brien’s gig to Fallon, Michaels said to the network, “If you don’t do it with Jimmy, I won’t produce.” That is a serious ally!
For someone who’s had such a financially successful career, Fallon gave some interesting advice about being a talk show host. He said in the same USA Today interview, “Don’t do it for money. You’ll never make money. Do it because you like it and you like what you’re doing.” So, what does Fallon actually make for doing The Tonight Show anyway?
Jimmy Fallon's impressive net worth
Over the years, Jimmy Fallon has received a slew of awards for all of his work, including Emmys for Late Night With Jimmy Fallon‘s digital experience in 2010, hosting Saturday Night Live in 2012 and 2014, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon‘s social TV experience in 2015.
With so many accolades behind him, it’s no wonder that Fallon makes $16 million a year from The Tonight Show, per Celebrity Net Worth. Meanwhile, Fallon’s total net worth is estimated to be $60 million.
The talk show host owns a home in the Hamptons. Specifically, the residence is in Sagaponack, according to Celebrity Net Worth, and it is “a 3,500-square-foot farmhouse style home built in the 1800s,” which Fallon purchased in 2011 for $5.7 million. Fallon also owns real estate in New York City.
As for his personal life, Fallon is married to Nancy Juvonen, who is a movie producer and close friend of Drew Barrymore. The couple met on the set of Fallon’s movie Fever Pitch, according to ET Online, and they married in December 2007. Together they have two daughters, Winnie and Frances.
