The decision comes in the wake of sexual allegations leveled at Chris, who plays Mr. Big on the TV reboot of ‘Sex and the City’, from multiple women, including actress Zoe Lister-Jones.
AceShowbiz –Chris Noth‘s sexual assault allegations apparently cost him his appearance on “And Just Like That…“. According to a new report, HBO Max has decided to pull the actor from the season finale of the “Sex and the City” reboot.
[SPOILER ALERT] While Chris’ character Mr. Big died after suffering a fatal heart attack in the first episode of the reboot, his character is set to appear in a flashback scene during the finale, TVLine reports. However, it’s now said that his scene will not make the final episode.
Chris and Sarah Jessica Parker, who played the love of Mr. Big’s life Carrie Bradshaw, filmed their scene in Paris. In the season finale, which is scheduled to air on February 3, Carrie will be traveling to Paris’ Pont des Arts bridge to scatter Big’s ashes into the Seine River. The original plan is to have a fantasy scene in which Big appears to Carrie on the bridge, but it’s all now canceled.
Sources reveal to the news outlet, ” ‘And Just Like That…’ ‘s creative team ultimately decided that the minimal footage Noth had shot with Parker on location in Paris was not integral to the scene.” It is also shared that “the finale was not locked at the time that the allegations against Noth were made public.”
HBO Max declines to comment on the report.
The decision comes in the wake of sexual allegations leveled at Chris. One woman alleged she was assaulted at his apartment in West Hollywood in 2004, while another claimed that she was raped at his Greenwich Village home in 2015. Chris, however, denied all the accusations, saying, “The accusations against me made by individuals I met years, even decades, ago are categorically false… The encounters were consensual.”
More women came forward with their own allegations. One of them was actress Zoe Lister-Jones, who accused him of being “drunk” and “sexually inappropriate” while on the set of “Law & Order“.
Former “SATC” star Heather Kristin also wrote in an op-ed for The Independent, alleging that Chris showed a “toxic” behavior on the set of the show. In response to the accusations, Chris’ rep insisted that he never got a single complaint or report about him acting inappropriately on the set of the HBO series.
