Max Branning (played by Jake Wood) and Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) spent the night together earlier this year when the landlady’s marriage to Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) hit the rocks. The couple has since mended their relationship but EastEnders star Danny has revealed Max will likely return to the BBC soap and this will spell trouble for the Carters.
Mick agreed to stand by his wife when she announced she was pregnant with Max’s baby.
The couple decided to tell their neighbours Mick was the father of the new addition to the Carter clan.
However, Linda is convinced someone will realise the truth about her unborn baby’s paternity.
Rainie (Tanya Franks) and Stuart Highway (Ricky Champ) were devastated when Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) revealed Max had kidnapped baby Abi.

Linda was horrified at this news and became more determined than ever to keep her paternity secret over fears Max will return to Walford if he discovered the truth.
The Queen Vic landlord has tried to appease his wife but EastEnders star Danny has hinted the troublemaker will be back on the square by the end of the year.
Discussing the actor’s possible return, he said: “It’s open for him to come back for sure.
“The fact that he’s now got a baby with Linda, the drama really, it only works if he’s about.”
“We’re in the realms of the Square finding out, which means that we’re panicking really and we need to get out of the Square,” he added.
The BBC soap star teased explosive scenes for the Carters over the Christmas period.
“It goes right off at Christmas, let me tell you that now,” he noted.
“Of course it does,” Danny revealed on Good Morning Britain. “It’s Walford innit, mate.

“We had the one year we were all happy and singing, no one liked it.”
In recent scenes, EastEnders viewers suspected Jack had worked out Max was the father of Linda’s baby.
Linda was grabbed by two robbers who were attempting to steal charity money collected in the Queen Vic.
Zack Hudson (James Farrar) came to her rescue but paramedics checked over Linda to make sure she was okay.

When she revealed how many weeks pregnant she was, Jack looked visibly puzzled by the revelation.
He was one of the few people who knew exactly when Linda spent the night with Max and could well have sussed out the truth.
Meanwhile, EastEnders fans are eager for Max to return to Walford after waving goodbye earlier this year.
One tweeted: “I want Max to come back and see Linda pregnant // with the baby. It’ll click in his mind that he’s the dad #EastEnders.”
“I think Max will be over the moon when he finds out about Linda he seemed besotted with her #EastEnders,” another wrote.
EastEnders airs on BBC One on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
