Dr Hilary suggested President Donald Trump, 74, faces a higher risk of death because of his age as well as his weight. President Trump’s administration confirmed he and First Lady Melania Trump had caught the coronavirus hours after one of his top aides, Hope Hicks, also confirmed to have COVID-19. The ITV Good Morning Britain’s contributor calculated Mr Trump is “220 times more likely” of succumbing to the diseased because of his health state.

Despite the dire warning, Mr Trump’s doctor confirmed the President is in faring well and will recover alongside his wife at the White House.

Sean P. Conley, the President’s physician, said: “The President and First Lady are both well at this time, and they plan to remain at home within the White House during their convalescence.

“The White House medical team and I will maintain a vigilant watch, and I appreciate the support provided by some of our country’s greatest medical professionals and institutions.

“Rest assured I expect the President to continue carrying out his duties without disruption while recovering, and I will keep you updated on any future developments.”
