Former Coronation Street star Kym Marsh has opened up about an ‘incredible’ experience following rumours that she has split from husband Scott Ratcliff.
The Hear’Say icon, who took on the role of Michelle Connor in Corrie after a career change, has just begun a UK tour of Greatest Days, a musical based on the songs of Take That.
Taking to Instagram, she posted a photo of the cast following their rehearsal period.
In the caption, she admitted that she felt ‘truly privileged’ to have been given the opportunity, which sees her starring alongside daughter Emilie.
In an ode to Take That themselves, she said that this was an experience she would ‘never forget’.
The post comes amid rumours that Kym has split from her husband of 18 months, Scott Ratcliff.
‘They both really tried to make it work, but the cracks have been there for a while.’ A source told The Sun.
‘They had a trial separation earlier this year and were hoping to get things back on track but they’ve decided it’s best to go their separate ways.’
They went on to explain how work commitments for the both of them made it difficult for the pair to spend time together, with Army Major Scott’s barracks being based down south, and Kym’s work taking her all over the country.
Greatest Days has just opened in Bromley, and is set to visit a number of destinations across the UK, including Manchester, Newcastle and Liverpool.
Kym can also be seen in the upcoming twelfth series of Waterloo Road, where she plays dinner lady and struggling mother-of-two Nicky Walters.
The new series is set to hit our screens weekly from May 16, and the full series will be available as a box set on BBC iPlayer.
