Coronation Street 's Lydia Chambers was unveiled as the mystery person silently calling Adam Barlow on Wednesday's episodes.
Soap watchers will recall that Adam was targeted by a mystery person earlier this year and he accused ex Lydia of keying his car before being told that it was in fact Jeremy Bremner, a disgruntled loser of a court case he worked on.
Only recently, Adam's car was vandalised again while his office was searched by police who had been told there was a firearm there with Adam linking them both to Jeremy.
During Wednesday's episode, Adam's wife Sarah Barlow was left terrified when she found flowers and a card suggesting the next bouquet will be for her funeral.
In a bid to protect his family, Adam told Sarah to stay at brother Nick Tilsley’s with her son Harry as he received more silent phone calls from his tormentor.
As the episode came to an end, the camera panned onto a car as they continued to ring Adam's mobile as it was slowly revealed that Lydia was behind the calls. Is she behind the rest of the terror campaign?
Soap watchers had previously predicted that Adam could be the father of Lydia's son due to their past relationship at university and her resentment towards him.
And now viewers are convinced about a baby twist on the ITV soap as it would explain why Lydia is out for revenge against her ex Adam.
Taking to Twitter, one person said: "Of course it's Lydia! Adams the father to her little boy #corrie."
A different account put: "Lydia's son will be Adam’s. This will be revenge for him leaving her pregnant. Or at least, it’ll be close to this idea, I think. @itvcorrie #Corrie."
Another follower wrote: "Lydia will be saying that her son is Adam's next #Corrie."
While a different account added: "Sarah's new BBF jealous that Adam has abandoned the son he doesn’t know about #corrie."
Coronation Street continues on weekdays on ITV.
