Comic Relief and BBC Children in Need will host a joint telethon for coronavirus patients – The Sun

COMIC Relief and BBC Children in Need are hosting a joint telethon.

Cash raised by the event will help those hit by coronavirus.

The Big Night In will mark community spirit alongside music and laughs with celeb hosts.

Simon Antrobus, of BBC Children In Need, said: “The Big Night In will offer the chance for everyone to (virtually) get together to celebrate those making a difference.”

Comic Relief’s Ruth Davison said: “It is the opportunity to praise heroes caring for us, feeding us and lifting our spirits as we help people most in need.”

The BBC One show is on Thursday, April 23, from 7pm until 10pm.

Charlotte Moore, director BBC Content, said: "BBC One will bring the nation together for this special one-off live charity event.”
