Alex Jones was left in shock on Monday evening as Huw Edwards claimed she is "difficult" to work with live on The One Show.
The 43 year old was joined on the BBC One talk show by newsreader Huw Edwards, 59, as they discussed the BBC Young Reporter of the Year competition.
Both Alex and Huw are judges for the competition which hopes to find the best upcoming journalist in the country.
But as they discussed what they expect from the entrants, Huw let slip how he and Alex clash on the panel.

Alex started by explaining: "We've sat on the judging panel for the last two years and it's a real process, isn't it?
"Because we've been bowled over by the standard and how creative the ideas are and it's really hard. We had a bit of a…"
Huw laughed: "I think you're being slightly understated which is a bit odd for you, Alex. You were rather difficult, I thought, as a fellow juror."
Looking unimpressed, the Welsh beauty hit back: "Excuse me?," as Huw continued: "It is clear to me that you are used to getting your own way."
Defending herself, Alex went on: "Well no, I think it's good that you've got somebody to bounce off and someone to disagree with."
Huw went on to tell viewers: "I was bounced out of the way, by the way. Okay? That's what happened to me.
"But we had a robust exchange because actually the quality was very high and it was really difficult," he cleared up.

It comes after the star came under fire for forgetting social distancing rules during The One Show last week.
Alex was interviewing Max George on The One Show as it had just been announced he would be taking part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
But as the interview came to a close, she leaned in and touched Max's arm before patting him off into the lift.

Unimpressed viewers spotted Alex's mistake and took to social media to slam her actions.
One wrote: "Alex touching Max just then so much for distancing," as a second added: "Back in the lift, touch him on the arm, no 'distancing' Alex [sic] ."
While a third said: "Oh dear, Alex Jones *touched* Max George. They'll be letters! [sic] "
The One Show airs weekdays at 7pm on BBC One.
