DEAR DEIDRE: MY grandfather has become obsessed with my grandma’s best friend. I’m a 17-year-old girl and I’m really worried.
He is 65, my grandma is 64, and lately he’s been helping her friend, who is 63, with odd jobs around her house.
He now texts her all day and spends most of his time with her – not his own wife.
He won’t talk about it, and I’m really concerned about my grandparents’ relationship. How can I help them?

DEIDRE SAYS: Your concern shows how much you love them, but nobody can judge what is going on in anybody else’s relationship.
Your gran may be letting it go to keep the peace. Or she may not be too worried by it.
You could talk to him, and even if he gets cross or denies it, at least he will realise others are aware and maybe be more mindful.
Can you talk to your parents for reassurance?
