People are only just discovering a hidden Google feature they never knew about.

When you type “askew” into the search engine, something strange happens with the browser.

As the word means “not in a straight or level position”, you’ll notice your page has tilted slightly.

Twitter users admitted they were taken by surprise when they searched the term, with one writing: “Whoa. This is so cool.”

Another said: “I just spent a good 10 seconds trying to make it straight.”

And a third added: “Just found out that if you google the word askew google TILTS THE ENTIRE PAGE. I bet some software engineer is reeeaalll proud of themselves.”

This isn’t the only little-known Google feature out there.

If you search “do a barrel roll”, you’ll get another fun surprise.

This time, the page rolls like a barrel would.

Not only is this a bit of entertainment for yourself, it’s a great way to prank your friends too.

If you get them to type in the words, they’ll probably think something is wrong with their device.

We’d also recommend typing “Blink HTML” into Google.

These results are a bit more subtle, but you should notice some of the search results changing.

Certain words blink on and off, which is a pretty cool effect.

And finally, searching “recursion” is pretty amusing.

The word means “the repeated application of a recursive procedure or definition”.

Google will constantly ask you “Did you mean ‘recursion’” .

Clicking on this creates an endless loop, echoing the definition of the word.

So will you be trying out any of these hidden Google features?
