ITALIAN sports presenter Diletta Leotta has opened up about her split with actor fiancee Can Yaman.
The 29-year-old revealed at the beginning of 2021 that she had found love with the 31-year-old Turkish man, who is also a model and lawyer.
But they have now ended their romantic relationship and Leotta was honest about how it broke down in a recent TV interview.
Speaking to Verissimo, she said: "It was all fast and beautiful. The complicated thing is when you happen to fall in love with such a famous man and do the math with all these things.
"I like to share, but there is real life behind the screen. It was difficult to keep everything intimate.
"This clearly weighs on us and you count on it, we do this job. But here it is to divide the person from the character sometimes. It was difficult."
She was then pressed to respond to those who believed their relationship was staged for the cameras.
To which she added: "The thing that I feel sorry for the most, is that someone said that the story at the table was over. But why?
"How do you say such a thing, who is it that thinks that loving Can was planned? Love happens, you can't decide. I happened to fall in love."
Leotta then finished discussing the situation by saying: "It's not an easy moment, it can happen.
"In the future I don't know what will happen. Love and life are unpredictable. I hope it can start over."
Leotta previously presented Sky Sports' coverage of Serie B in Italy but has since moved to broadcaster DAZN and now presents Serie A fixtures.
She used to date Italian boxer Daniele Scardina but called time on their relationship.

And then last year there were wild untrue claims in the Italian press that she was seeing married AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
They first met during lockdown when they filmed an ad for running app BuddyFit and were later spotted at a restaurant in Sardinia together where Leotta was celebrating her 29th birthday on the island.
But the suggestions of any romance were strongly denied by Leotta's representatives, who said there was 'no relationship' between the pair.
