At first, they were excited. Then confused. Eventually indifferent. Now, they seem to jump from one feeling to the next, not quite sure how to process all this.
“Why in the world,” our pets are wondering, “are these humans not leaving?”
Unfortunately, we can’t give our pets a satisfying answer. But we can take hundreds of pictures of our new furry coworkers throughout the day.
We asked Denver Post readers to share photos of their pets adapting to our new work-from-home reality, and we were flooded with adorableness in response. We also asked folks to tell us a little about their new coworkers and whether or not they are currently classified as Good Boys, Good Girls or — horror of horrors — “other.”
So as the uncertainty around us intensifies, let us turn to our pets for some hope — and some unabashed cuteness, too.
Captain

Oliver Randal Walkenhorst

Good Boy
Ollie is fond of belly rubs and finds this social distancing thing a bit challenging. So he’s trying to help the neighborhood out with supply and demand of toilet paper, while also adding to his “cookie” fund. His owners have done a bit of training with him and he’s now taking orders for TP and delivering them to the neighbors! $1/roll or .50/roll if it arrives with slobber.

Tyson Barkford
Westminster
Mostly a Good Boy, barring the fact that he was expelled from doggy daycare for excessive humping
The extra treats almost make up for not being able to greet the kids on their way to school each morning. He heard dressing up is good for productivity, so he wears a bow tie during the workweek.
Stella and Otis
Denver
Good Boy and Good Girl
Stella and Otis have enjoyed lots of cuddling. They’re terrible at the concept of social distancing, alternating with playing fetch and catching rays outside.
It’s Not a Pet

Just hanging out.
