Whether they like it or not, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry never fail to draw public attention from us Brits – they are a constant source of conversation, especially since they left the Royal Family in the UK to move to the states last year.
Whilst we are in lockdown number three over here, and battling freezing temperatures and dark nights, Meghan and Harry seemed somewhat ethereal as they posed in their sunlit garden to announce the happy news they were expecting a second child together.
Never one to not dress for the occasion, Meghan opted for a lightweight and delicate Carolina Herrerra dress. Lying on her husband's lap, the pair gazed lovingly at one another, and we suspect she was paying subtle homage to their first child Archie.

The Evening Standard reported that Meghan’s dress was actually one of several bespoke styles made for her during her first pregnancy with Archie. Their first child was even mentioned in the announcement, with the pair stating “We can confirm that Archie is going to be a big brother”
The stunning photograph of the pair broke headlines and went viral, and it was taken via iPad with photographer Misan Harriman. The relaxed and informal nature of the announcement was worlds away from the pair’s first pregnancy announcement with Archie, with the couple looking at ease as they told the public they were expecting in their own special way.

But Archie isn’t the only person the royal couple referenced as they made their announcement to the world.
