Piers Morgan sensationally quit his role as presenter of Good Morning Britain earlier this month.

The outspoken journalist left the hit TV show for good following an on-air argument with weatherman Alex Beresford on Tuesday over his Meghan Markle coverage.

And now the 55 year old has finally returned to pack up all his belongings. Sharing a snap on Wednesday of his old office, with all the items put into cardboard boxes, Piers wrote: “Goodbye, Good Morning Britain!”

In the picture we can also see a cardboard cut out of Susanna Reid leaning against the wall. Addressing this, the presenter wrote: “(I think I’ll leave the cardboard cut-out, would be a bit creepy to take that home…)”

But now Piers in no longer presenting the hit show, he will be spending more time at his London home while he looks for another job. Let's take a look inside…

Not so long ago, Piers shared a peek of his cosy home while enjoying a glass of red wine while chatting to his eldest son Spencer on a Zoom call.

Behind the star is a large bookshelf busy with books, and orange curtains frame the large windows.

The space looks very comfy and Piers reclined on a cream sofa while enjoying a virtual drink with his son.

Spencer captured the moment on his phone, revealing a peek at the West Kensington townhouse Piers lives in with wife Celia Walden and their daughter Elise.

Alongside the Instagram photo of the Zoom call, Piers penned: "First ever Zoom drinks with No1 son.

"It was either that or watching Spurs on TV – and we haven’t reached that lockdown rock bottom yet."

Piers has previously snapped a photo of his London garden at the home in which he is currently staying amid the coronavirus outbreak.

The 55-year-old presenter was seen to be shaming sunbathers via Twitter last year as he called them “traitors to every NHS worker.”

And, in response to trolls, Piers decided to snap a picture of his “massive f***ing garden” as a result, which showcases a modest leafy space, with a garden table and chairs in shot.

Piers tweeted: “For all those asking, this is the size of my ‘massive f***king garden’ at my London home where I will be for the duration of this crisis.”

He added: “I can only apologise for the ostentatious, luxurious enormity of it.”

Piers is currently at his London home and he occasionally shares a peek inside.

The former Britain’s Got Talent judge shared a photo of himself and daughter Elise clapping for the NHS and health workers on their doorstep.

The nationwide applause saw millions pop their heads out of windows, come out onto their doorsteps and walk onto the street to applaud the efforts of the NHS and health workers amid the coronavirus pandemic.

As well as this, Piers and his daughter, nine, have spent some hours during isolation playing a game of spillikin, a pastime in which players try to remove pieces of wood one at a time without disturbing the others.

Clearly enjoying dad and daughter time, Piers and Elise also tried out the Good Morning Britain camera kit from Piers’ home library.

Elise can be seen sat on a chair ready to present, with a busy bookshelf in shot behind her. Piers, sharing the shot with his 984,000 Instagram followers, wrote: “Elise Morgan reporting live from her father’s office, via the new self-isolation @gmb camera kit (should I need it..)”

The presenter, who is known for his ability to rile up guests, also owns a country retreat in the sleepy village of Newick in East Sussex.
