Imagine being paid to sleep on the job and not worry about getting caught on when you're supposed to be working?

Well that's exactly what Silentnight are looking for after announcing they have five slots available for "snuggle enthusiasts" to test out a range of their products like mattresses, duvets, pillows and mattress toppers.

Not only will the bed company pay each lucky candidate £300 for their services, they will be sent a bundle of items worth £600 and a year's Netflix subscription thrown in as an added bonus.

So if you're a keen napper, and spend your days counting down until bedtime, this may well be the perfect opportunity to boost your bank balance and deck out your bedroom with high quality sleep gear.

According to the advert calling for the "pyjama army to assemble", Silentnight want people to share their sleep experiences while testing out their products.

"The role involves working nights, early mornings and there will be some undercover work," it states.

To be in with a chance all you need to do is write a short personal statement of 250 words detailing why you are perfect for the role.

Silentnight added: "We’re keen to hear anecdotes about all the times you've been late for work after sleeping through your alarm clock, and your top tips for a good night’s sleep."

Marketing manager for Silentnight Kat Collins, explains: "We’re looking for a new "pyjama army" to provide vital feedback on our products.

"Sleepers come in all shapes and sizes, with different wants, needs and personal preferences, so our ‘snuggle bundles’ will be bespoke to each recruit."

She added: "We’re looking for applicants who take sleep seriously. If you can’t resist a siesta in the afternoon, if you’re the type of person who spends all day counting down the hours until bedtime, or if you find yourself hitting snooze on your alarm clock every morning, this is your moment."

As well as the £300, the successful applicant will receive the £600 snuggle bundle with items matched to their individual height, weight and shape "as we know that one size doesn’t fit all, and we’re a nation of unique sleepers".

You'll need to get your entries in quick as the competition closes on 1 December, entries are open to the UK and those who are over 18.
