Fellaini discharged from hospital in China as ex-Man Utd star faces two-week quarantine after beating coronavirus – The Sun

MAROUANE FELLAINI has recovered from coronavirus and left hospital in China.

After contracting the illness last month, the Shandong Luneng midfielder was submitted to hospital on March 22 having been tested by his club.


The Belgian said at the time that he had shown no symptoms but only now can he head home, where he will be forced to undergo a two-week quarantine to prevent the spread of the disease.

Writing on his Instagram page on Tuesday, Fellaini paid tribute to medical staff for looking after him.

He posted: "The time has come for me to thank from the bottom of my heart, the medical staff of the hospital, their nursing staff as well as my Club and its medical staff for taking such good care of me with so much kindness and for ensuring my comfort whilst there.

"The hardest part is behind me!

"Let's keep fighting, it's important!"

Fellaini, 32, joined Shandong Luneng from Manchester United in February of last year.
