Danny Dyer slams Olly Murs and reignites feud by calling his music ‘really s***’

You won't catch Danny Dyer listening to Olly Murs ' discography anytime soon, as the EastEnders ' actor has made his feelings on his music very clear.

Danny, 43, branded Olly's music as "really s***" on his podcast this week, potentially sparking a feud with the Voice UK coach.

The swipe comes six years after Danny knocked Olly's music live on radio, suggesting his thoughts on tracks like Dance With Me Tonight haven't changed.

During an episode of Sorted With The Dyers, Danny nattered with daughter Dani Dyer about her due date, with the reality star expecting to give birth to her first child later this month.

Danny had some suggestions to ease Dani into the delivery, wondering whether some "really s***" music could help her relax.

He said: "Have you got a playlist? How about if you listened to some really s*** music and then that might help?

"Say you kick off with Olly Murs?"

Dani simply replied: "Oh no, I don't want anything like that."

The soap star had previously knocked Olly's crooning during an appearance on Greg James' Radio 1 show, instructing the radio presenter to switch his music off.

At the time, he said: "Do you have to play Olly Murs? Can you not play something else? Just pull a tune out?"

Greg then offered to play a track by US songstress Kelly Clarkson instead, covering up any awkwardness in the studio.

However, Danny then made a special request, asking that Greg play Columbia by Oasis – a far cry from the music of Mr Murs.

Olly, 36, who rose to fame when he came second on the 2009 series of X Factor, has released six albums over the course of his career.

His latest release – 2018's You Know I Know – was followed by a tour across the UK and Ireland.

If coronavirus restrictions ease in the coming months, the Troublemaker singer has plans for a 2021 tour, hitting everywhere from Sketty to Belfast.

However, it doesn't look like Danny will be first in line to nab a ticket.
