System of a Down‘s two new songs, the band’s first new music in almost 15 years, debuted at No. 1 and No. 2 on Billboard‘s Hot Hard Rock Songs chart.
“Protect the Land” and “Genocidal Humanoidz” debuted at No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on the Hot Hard Rock Songs chart dated November 21.
“Protect the Land” earned 2.7 million U.S. streams and 5,000 downloads in the week ending November 12, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data. “Genocidal Humanoidz” recorded 1.8 million streams and 5,000 downloads.
The songs also debuted at the same positions on Billboard‘s Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart.
