Loose Women star Penny Lancaster told her co-stars that a husband of a friend once hit on her, but she “didn’t say anything” at the time. Instead, the wife of Sir Rod Stewart chose to distance herself from the person as a child was involved.
The 50-year-old model made her comments during a discussion about whether or not you should tell a friend if their partner had made a move.
“Something very similar, not the same thing, happened with me a while ago – quite some time ago,” Penny said on yesterday’s show.
“I decided that he probably was a bit like that anyway and if it wasn’t me it would be someone else and he’s probably done it before and therefore do it again.”
The ITV star, who has been married to Rod, 76, since 2007, went on to explain that she did not mention the incident to her pal as there was a child involved.
“And there was a child involved, and so I just didn’t say anything.
“I just distanced myself a bit… it felt like the right thing to do,” the mother-of-two added.
Penny is mum to two of Rod’s eight children – Alastair, 15, and Aiden, 10.
During lockdown, Penny, who normally has a personal chef at home, enjoyed whipping up delicious meals for her family.
Next week, BBC viewers will see the TV star put her skills to the test when she takes part in Celebrity MasterChef.
Ahead of last night’s show, she shared some details with fans online.
“I will be tuning in tonight to watch Celebrity MasterChef 2021, with my appearance scheduled on Monday 16th at 9pm,” she wrote on Instagram, in view of her 117,000 followers.

During an appearance on The One Show earlier this month, Penny revealed that dinner is a big deal in their household.
She told host Alex Jones that it usually involves a three-course meal and her fashion-loving husband is always suitably dressed for the occasion.
Penny explained to a stunned Alex that they eat well every day of the week.
“Yes, every day. Even on a Monday. One thing that you decide when you have worked hard all of your life is that you are going to gift yourself.
“For Rod, that was a chef. He likes to dine well and wear it well,” she said.
When not in the kitchen, newly qualified police officer Penny can be found patrolling the streets of London with her colleagues.
She signed up to become an officer after starring in Channel 4 reality show Famous and Fighting Crime.
Penny worked with the Cambridgeshire Police back in 2019 before earning her very own City of London police badge.
“It was terrifying, terrifying, but I never felt more comfortable in a position and I felt like this was where I was supposed to be,” she said of the experience on Loose Women after celebrating her passing out.
