Strictly Come Dancing star Kelvin Fletcher, who won the 2019 series of the ballroom dancing competition, hit out at shoppers who are selfishly stockpiling supplies on Instagram last night. The former soap star snapped a picture of an empty supermarket aisle, which should be filled with toilet roll, to illustrate his frustration when out shopping for his family.
Kelvin’s social media snap showed an almost bare shelf two days before the country goes into a second lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Back in March, supermarkets faced a similar situation and were forced to ration essential supplies, such as toilet roll, flour and cleaning products, to ensure everyone was able to purchase what they needed.
“WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?!” he wrote beside the photo, which he shared with his 365,000 followers.
“Stop the bus I want to get off #datlyf,” he went on to add.
His Instagram post sparked a frenzy online, with a host of followers and famous faces taking to the comments section to share their thoughts on the matter.
Emmerdale actress and former co-star Charley Webb exclaimed: “Don’t! I cannot cope!!!!!”
“F**k my life. That is mind blowing,” wrote Top Gear host Paddy McGuinness.
“People don’t poop more in lockdown!! Behave people…” said TV star Vernon Kay.
Trying to lighten the mood, soap star Adam Thomas joked: “They had a good offer on – man give me a break.”

“Here we go again!” another social media user wrote next to the picture, while a confused follower added: “Why do people think we are going to run out of bog rolls? For the love of god!!”
Another frustrated follower wrote: “The supermarkets are not closing!
“What is wrong with some people? Take a moment and think of the key workers and elderly who can’t just go to the shops. They need toilet roll too. So selfish.”
