Jennifer Lopez's Favorite On-Screen Kiss Wasn't Ex Ben Affleck

Whenever actors play a romantic couple in a film, things tend to get spicy. Although most times it’s just for the screen, others take it to the next level. Several actors have come out to state who they enjoyed kissing the most and who they had a rather unpleasant experience locking lips with.

Jennifer Aniston, for example, has a reputation for drinking a lot of coffee before shooting. This, in turn, gives her coffee breath, which various co-stars have stated their disdain for. Sometimes, however, the on-screen lip-locks aren’t always bad. Jennifer Lopez, however, ranked her on-screen kisses and her top pick might surprise you.

Jennifer Lopez has starred in several movies

Lopez is perhaps one of the world’s most famous celebrities, understandably so as the star has proven to be a triple threat. J.Lo, as her fans adoringly refer to her, has shown that she has the chops to sing, dance, and act. She also recently came up with a couture line that is set to make her style more accessible to her loyal fans.

Lopez broke into the limelight after she played the Mexican singer Selena Quintanilla in 1997. It is easy to think that playing the Queen of Mexican music would be next to impossible. However, Lopez pulled an exemplary performance, which gave her the much-needed exposure to cement her name into people’s minds.

After the 1997 biopic of the Mexican singer came out, Lopez began getting offered roles in various major blockbusters. She featured in a range of movies, such as the action film Anaconda, to romantic comedies like Monsterin-Law and The Wedding Planner.

In 2019, Lopez received praise for her performance as Ramona Vega in the crime drama film Hustlers.

She has had several high profile relationships

Since Lopez is one of the most famous stars globally, her life is always subject to media scrutiny, and so are her relationships. On February 11, 1997, the Latina star got married to a Cuban waiter called Ojani Noa. The two ended the wedding a year later in a series of legal battles.

When working on her 1999 album On the 6, Lopez got close to rapper and producer Sean Combs. In December that year, the couple got arrested in connection to a shooting in a Times Square club. Eventually, Lopez’s charges were dropped and Combs was acquitted, according to New York Magazine. Soon after her relationship with Combs ended, Lopez began a romance with Cris Judd, a backup dancer. On September 29, 2001, the two got married but divorced in June 2002, citing irreconcilable differences.

She afterward began a high profile romance with actor Ben Affleck. The couple got engaged in November 2002. The star pair were set to wed in September 2003 but postponed the event blaming the media’s interference. In 2004, Affleck and Lopez parted ways.

She then got into a relationship with Marc Anthony. The couple got married in 2004. In November 2007, Lopez and Anthony announced they were expecting. The I Ain’t Your Mama singer gave birth to a boy and a girl in February 2008.

In 2012, Anthony filed for divorce, and the couple separated in 2014. She then went on to date Casper Smart for five years. After the relationship with Smart ended, she began a relationship with former baseball player Alex Rodriguez whom she’s engaged to today.

Lopez said that her best on-screen kiss wasn’t with her ex

You’d think that starring in a movie with your boyfriend would qualify as your favorite on-screen moment. Jennifer Lopez proved that this wasn’t the case for her. When appearing on the Today show, the Jenny from the Block singer recounted her best on-screen kiss, and it wasn’t Affleck.

When asked if she thought Matthew McConaughey was her best on-screen kiss, Lopez politely said no and then dropped Josh Lucas’ name in response. Lopez and McConaughey had co-starred in the rom-com The Wedding Planner.

Lucas also acknowledged Lopez’s kissing skills in a 2015 interview on Watch What Happens Live. The actor called Lopez a phenomenal woman recalling that they shared an intimate moment that was so steamy it had to be cut off, according to Popsugar.

Lucas and Lopez starred in the film An Unfinished Life alongside Morgan Freeman and Robert Redford. This came as a surprise as Lopez had also starred in the 2003 flop Gigli with Ben Affleck.

Lucas has starred in several films and shows, aside from playing Lopez’s love interest in An Unfinished Life. The 49-year-old had a lead role opposite Reese Witherspoon in Sweet Home Alabama and has starred in films such as Poseidon and The Mysteries of Laura.
