The Chase star Jenny ‘The Vixen’ Ryan, 39, has hit out at her co-star Mark Labbett, 55, for telling her what to do on social media. The online friction comes three days after the flame-haired ITV star revealed that she was fully vaccinated against COVID, as she took to social media to respond to anti-vaxxers who had advised her to take vitamins instead of the vaccine.
I’ll feed who I like
Jenny shared a confused GIF with her 94,700 followers, amid the reaction to her jab news.
She wrote: “All credit to the Twitter user in my replies trying to tell me to take vitamin D and zinc instead of the vaccine.
“I take vitamin D3 and zinc every day,” she confirmed.
However, the star went on to explain that this wasn’t enough to stop her from previously contracting coronavirus.
“They didn’t prevent me from getting unwell with Covid, or even the cold I have now.
“Nor would I expect them to – they are ‘supplements’ i.e. ‘supplementary’, additional to other healthcare”, she added.
Commenting on her post, Mark let his colleague know that her comment was “feeding trolls”.
“Don’t feed the trolls Jen,” he wrote, complete with a smiley face.
The Vixen immediately hit back light-heartedly: “I’ll feed who I like.”
After spotting her comment, The Beast replied: “I love a colleague who is a feeder”, alongside another smiley face emoji.
Meanwhile, fans of the star took to the comments to wish her well after recovering from the virus.
“Hi Jenny, me again hope you’re well now, it’s a horrible thing, covid”, one wrote.
Another added: “Wait… You had Covid? That virus has taken it one step too close to the Chaser, he’s going to go DOWN.”
It comes days after the star revealed on the social media platform that she had received both doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine.
However, fans of the TV star were quick to ask her how and why she had received both vaccines.
Posting the picture of the completed vaccine card, Jenny captioned the snap: “”AstraZeneca? Completed it, mate. #vaccinated.”
Despite the picture receiving over 3,000 likes from fans, one social media user asked the TV star how she had managed to receive two vaccinations.
“How come you’ve had both, I’ve only had 1 and I’m 58 lol,”(sic) they wrote.
Jenny replied: “Feel like I’m not the person to ask, maybe try the NHS?”
Following up on her initial announcement, The Chase star went on to encourage her fans to play their part in the coronavirus “crisis” by getting vaccinated.
