Holly Willoughby screams as she and Phillip practice Dancing on Ice first in hilarious video

Dancing On Ice presenters Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield were barely able to contain their giggles as they tried out a ‘first’ on the show.

Holly, 40, could be heard screaming and Phil, 59, laughing as they took part in rehearsals for DOI and found themselves being strapped to stands and pushed onto the skating rink.

Sharing the hilarious video to his Instagram story, Phil and Holly were seen laughing as they prepared to present the Sunday evening skating competition.

Captioning the video, Phil wrote: “Rehearsing a first for us” and “I’ve edited out your bad language @hollywilloughby”, followed by “Finally on the ice” as the pair made their way on their podiums to the centre of the rink.

As Holly seemed to struggle to get on the rink, Phil added: “You seem to be holding on very tightly @hollywilloughby”, followed by a laughing face emoji.

Phil returned to his presenting duties on Dancing On Ice last week after he tested positive for coronavirus and was temporarily replaced by Stephen Mulhern.

Returning to the show last Sunday 13th February, Phil made a quip at his replacement Stephen, while Holly wowed fans in a pink Valentine's Day dress.

As the episode opened, Holly said: "Welcome to the greatest show on ice and welcome back Phil!"

With Phillip replying: "Thank you! I missed it last week, I had serious FOMO… made better by four or five gin and tonics!" to which Holly joked: "Always helps!"

Phillip added of his replacement: "Also, well done to Stephen Mulhern as well, fantastic, you're welcome!"

It comes after Dancing On Ice fans went wild the previous Sunday night as Holly and Stephen were reunited on TV after 16 years following their Ministry of Mayhem presenting days from 2004 to 2006.

Speaking on the ITV skating show, Holly said at the time: "Welcome to the greatest show on ice, we have got a packed show tonight. You may have heard, Phil is isolating… so, for the first time ever, he won't be here this week.

"I know he's watching at home… we're sending you lots of love, Phil! However, the lovely Stephen Mulhern has stepped in to save the day!"

To which the audience started cheering as Stephen added: "Yes, I am here guys! Thank you, thank you, please don't stop!

"Can you believe, it's actually 16 years since we have worked together on kids' TV?"

With Holly replying: "I know, Saturday mornings we used to do, we've sort of grown up now.

"We're grownups, look at us doing proper big telly!"

Dancing On Ice continues on Sunday evening at 6pm on ITV.
