Dianne Buswell, 31, has taken to Instagram today to share a direct message that she has received from one of her followers, who said she had “rat-like features”. The Strictly Come Dancing professional aimed to raise awareness, as she shared that “you never know what others are going through”.
Think before you speak
Dianne, who was eliminated from Strictly alongside her partner Max George last weekend, told her fans that she was lucky to be able to “brush off” such horrible comments.
The redhead had uploaded a stunning make-up free selfie as she relaxed at home after leaving the dance contest.
One troll messaged her and said: “And by the way, I’m sure he can find someone much better and with normal knees and feet not some alien s**t.
“And makeup does a good job because your skin is disgusting, seen in some blogs how anyone stays with you when they wake up deserves a trophy.
“And your family all have the same rat features in the face,” they added.
Dianne re-shared the post on her story and typed: “It’s Anti-Bullying Week! Think before you speak or type you never know what others are going through.
“I receive loads of msgs like this one daily. Lucky I can just brush it off but for some people, that’s not the case. Stop cyberbullying.”(sic)
The star and singer Max were voted out after landing in the bottom two alongside Maisie Smith and Gorka Marquez.
Judges Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke voted to save the EastEnders star, while Shirley Ballas voted for Max.
Although he was undoubtedly disappointed to be leaving the contest, Max gushed over his partner’s “amazing” work with him over the past few weeks.
In response to Tess Daly asking how he found the experience, he said: “I’ve loved it. It’s all down to Dianne, she’s been literally amazing.
“For me to get through 90 seconds of dance for four weeks now is a credit to her, she’s just unbelievable. I’ve got to say, all these guys over here are the nicest group of people ever. I love you all.”

Dianne also praised Max, as she responded that he did “an absolutely amazing job”.
The redhead became the target of abuse from trolls who have sent unfounded claims that she has been intimate with the singer.
Bosses at the BBC in response ramped up their security after learning of the malicious, tweets which had been sent from a number of different accounts.
In one of the sinister messages, a fan of the show claimed to be at the apartment block where Dianne and Max stayed during the COVID-secure series.
The message has now been removed from the social media site which finished with: “This will be the end for Dianne.”
A show source told The Sun: “This was truly chilling — because someone claimed to be waiting for Dianne at a certain address.
“That triggered a security alert and obviously had to be taken seriously.
“Producers have taken action, along with security teams, and reassured the cast that their safety is paramount.”
