Ed Sheeran and Courteney Cox made headlines all over the globe after they got together to create an epic rendition of the iconic Friends dance Ross and Monica Gellar performed during a memorable episode on the show. The Routine, as it’s known, has become a legendary dance for all fans of the US sitcom, but David Schwimmer was pretty underwhelmed by the singer’s moves.

He’s such a gifted singer and not dancer

Appearing on The One Show on Thursday evening, David spoke about all things from the highly-anticipated Friends Reunion to the next series of Sky’s Intelligence.

But he was taken aback when the hosts played him the performance by his former co-star and the musician, that was shared to both their Instagram accounts.

The actor could be heard exclaiming ‘What?!’ as the video played.

After watching Ed take Ross’ place next to Courteney aka Monica, David joked: “He’s such a gifted singer…” before adding cheekily: “And not dancer…

“Bless them. Amazing!”

The collaboration took place earlier this week after the Friends Reunion aired on Sky, and it quickly went viral.

Courteney shared the video to her Instagram account alongside the caption: “Just some routine dancing with a friend…”

The pair were perfectly in sync as they smashed out the routine, but it ended in chaos as they collapsed to the floor.

Despite the concluding mishap, celebrities and fans alike went into meltdown over the video.

The Shape of You singer also posted the video on his account, telling his followers: “Had a reunion of our own this weekend @courteneycoxofficial.”

He added some hilarious hashtags, which included: “#theroutine #iknow #friends4eva #obviouslybetterthanross.”

Among those gushing over the latest resurrection was Courteney’s co-star Lisa Kudrow, who penned: “WOW!”

John Bishop and Jamie Redknapp labelled it “class” while Pixie Lott said: “This is tooooo gooood lol.”(sic)

The dance routine was first introduced to the public in season six of Friends when Monica and Ross preformed their high school dance routine for a chance to be featured on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve on the eve of the year 2000.
