Colson's co-star Andy Whyment has recently told OK! magazine that the soap will re-write scripts to include the current coronavirus crisis.
When asked when he thinks he'll be back on set, Andy said: "I think we are hoping to get back mid June, that's what we're working towards.
"We have enough episodes in the can until early July, so hopefully we won't have to go off air.
"They've been rewriting all the scripts and [coronavirus has] been such a massive part of everyone's lives, so the show will probably reflect that.
