Strictly Come Dancing host Claudia Winkleman, 48, has been married to Kris Thykier, 48, for 20 years and they share three children together; Jack, 17, Matilda, 14, and Arthur, nine. Opening up about her marriage, she said she feels pressure to have sex with her spouse every two days.

I think we put way too much pressure on ourselves.

She revealed: “I think we put way too much pressure on ourselves.

“I haven’t had sex with my husband for two days, let’s do it on the stairs.”

The mother-of-three said her pressure stemmed from seeing loved-up couples on social media.

She explained: “I think social media is brilliant for some things but I think it does show you, ‘Oh my gosh she is just standing there looking amazing and her husband is licking her eyebrow’.”

“It’s not that I’m anti licking an eyebrow, good luck if you can find mine.

“I just think we should give ourselves a break.”

Claudia went on to say she thinks it’ll be easier to spend more quality time with her spouse when their eldest son Jack moves out.

“Me and husband will learn how to make stew and we’ll read lots of books and we’ll do tickling – that’s code in case anyone is wondering,” she added in an interview with The Sun.

Claudia and Kick-Ass producer Kris met through mutual friends and tied the knot in 2000.

She previously said the pair are yet to have an argument in their 22-year relationship.

Speaking on BBC Radio 2, she divulged: “I can’t make him have a row, I’ve been with him for 22 years.

“I’m like, ‘Come on!’ Even if it’s about mustard!”

On how she thinks her marriage has been a success, she explained: ”All I know is that you can have a different marriage with the same man.

“I think it’s also about growing older and being cosy.”

Claudia added the pair “don’t have rules” and also take care of each more when their working schedules are busy.

“So whoever comes home first normally makes the dinner. It’s just about being nice to each other,” she added in an interview with Red Magazine.

Elsewhere, Claudia is set to host this year’s Strictly Come Dancing alongside co-host Tess Daly.

The upcoming new series was pushed back for a later date due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and will be shorter than usual.

Celebrities in the star-studded line-up include; Caroline Quentin, The Wanted’s Max George and comedian Bill Bailey.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One later this month.
