Rihanna has mentioned that her long-awaited skin-care line, Fenty Skin, was made for everyone, so it’s not a shock to see her inclusive ad for the brand. After officially announcing a launch date for Fenty Skin, which is set to hit shelves at the end of July, the singer shared a one-minute commercial on social media. The ad features several famous faces like Lil Nas X, A$AP Rocky, Tommy Genesis, and Halima Aden, and they’re all seen wearing the products.
“That’s right baby…@fentyskin is for my fellas too!” Rihanna captioned an Instagram photo of herself and A$AP Rocky. “No matter who you are, you deserve to have great skin!” The caption is an extension of a comment that the beauty mogul made on Twitter days earlier, when she responded to a 2017 tweet about creating a skin-care line specifically for men. “Whoever told you skincare has a gender, LIED to you!” she wrote.
Rihanna explained in another post on her Instagram page that she’s been working on Fenty Skin for two years, focusing on creating ecofriendly packaging and making sure the products themselves are good enough to wear with makeup. “Everything starts with the foundation that is your skin and we all know how obsessed I am with beautiful, healthy skin — so whether you want to wear makeup, or no makeup at all, there’s always glowing skin underneath,” she wrote.
